Due to this nature, long term treatment may be necessary.We believe that addiction is treatable and that addicts can become functioning, productive pillars of the community. We understand that addiction is usually the result of genetic, environmental and psychosocial factors. The stigma imposed on addicts by the prevailing cultural beliefs usually result in profound feeling of inadequacy. We believe that this is unfair.By working with patients and their families we should assist in restructuring the social frame work of our patients. To relapse is human.
