Nutrition and Your Health. In today's world, most people seem to be preoccupied with multiple tasks that life presents. It's no wonder that consuming a balance of foods and nutritional supplements that promote health is easily cast aside. Many people have turned to supplementing their diets with a variety of vitamin products that are currently available. The major question seems to be, "What do I need and where can I get it?" There are many sources that give consumers a wide variety of information. The internet, diet fads, nutritional experts, the media can give conflicting information and at best so much information it is difficult to decide how to achieve a balanced approach. Let's take a look at some high profile concerns.Aging:During each day, your body is under attack from a variety of effects that can accelerate the degeneration of your body's cells. Free radicals contribute to feeling tired, achy and wrinkles. Exposures to radiation, toxic chemicals found in cigarette smoke and overexposure to the sun's rays are some of the ways free radicals damage cells. A certain group of vitamins, minerals and enzymes that are called antioxidants and help prevent and protect the body from free radical damage. Free radical scavengers that occur naturally in the body help against this constant onslaught. The body produces superoxide dismutase (SOD). If the body is overwhelmed SOD can be hard pressed to keep free radicals in check. Sources of antioxidants are sprouted grains, fresh fruits and vegetables. Vitamins are another source of antioxidants.Blood Sugar Levels:Healthy glucose sugar levels are critical to a healthy lifestyle. Normal insulin production occurs with proper glucose levels. Chromium is an essential trace element that is required for normal insulin production. Gymnema sylvestre is another element that helps produce not only healthy blood glucose levels but also may play a role in supporting healthy beta cells.Cardiovascular Health:The basis for good cardiovascular health is a good nutrient rich diet, plenty of physical activity and watching blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Specific nutrients like AGE (a garlic extract), Vitamins C and E, Folic acid, Vitamins B-12,B-6, B-3 support coronary and cardiovascular health. Minerals that are the most bioavailable to be better absorbed by the body are amino acid chelated form. This form leaves no waste or toxins in the body.Eyesight:Poor nutrition is linked to nearly every cause of eye damage or loss of vision. Blood shot eyes blurred vision and nearly every irritation with the eyes can be linked to poor diet. Other sources of irritation can be computer work, inadequate light, Nicotine, sugar, caffine and environmental pollutants. Caretenoids in the diet (dark green and orange fruits and vegetables) are a good source of eye nutrition. Vitamins A,B, C and E support proper eye function.Immune System:Normal intestinal flora flourish under healthy conditions. Competitive inhibition occurs when harmful strains implant and grow in the intestinal tract. Some studies have indicated that most Americans have less than half the amount of normal flora that is needed. Probiotics play an important role in clinical nutrition an immunityThere are so many other nutritional aspects to be discussed that everyone should take their own health into their own hands. Don't wait for a clinical symptom to determine a course of action. The best way to supplement your diet is with vitamins that are made from all natural ingredients and in the most easily absorbed formulations.

Magnetic Therapy Can Effectively Reduce High Blood Pressure: Here Is How
Firstly, let us have a look at what is blood pressure and what leads to high blood pressure. Then, review what magnetic therapy devices can be used to lower blood pressure. What is blood pressure? The heart is a small but very powerful pump that beats steadily throughout your life, circulating five litres (more than 10 pints of blood) around the body every minute. The smaller blood vessels through which the blood passes produce a resistance to blood flow. The pumping of the heart against this resistance creates the blood pressure necessary for the circulation of the blood. This circulation is essential for nutrition of the major organs, such as the heart, kidneys, liver and brain, providing the vital oxygen and nutrients necessary for life. So, everyone needs to have a blood pressure to maintain their circulation! When the heart contracts, the highest pressure it produces is called the systolic pressure; when it relaxes, the lowest pressure is called the diastolic pressure. Both of these pressures are important in determining the risk of heart attack and stroke, so both will be measured by your doctor. A normal blood pressure in a young person might be around 130/80 (often described as 130 over 80) - this is shorthand for a systolic pressure of 130 and a diastolic pressure of 80. We start thinking blood pressure is high when it is above 160/100. Understanding high blood pressure Blood pressure is vital to life whilst high blood pressure can be a threat to it. A permanently raised blood pressure leads to an increased tendency to blood vessel damage, and blood clot formation which may result in heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure. High blood pressure affects one in six of us. High blood pressure tends to run in families. Ironically, you may be totally unaware that your blood pressure is high. Apart from rare exceptions, there is no cure for high blood pressure. Taking anti hypertensive drugs lowers blood pressure, but when stopped, the blood pressure rises again. Magnetic treatment for high blood pressure Although there is no known cure for the majority of people suffering with high blood pressure, it is possible to treat it very successfully. Mainstream treatments include water tablets(diuretics) and high blood pressure tablets (anti hypertensives: beta blockers, ace inhibitors and calcium channel blockers). Magnetic therapy can also be used to treat high blood pressure by eliminating excess fluid in the body. When a person is first diagnosed with high blood pressure the first course of treatment a doctor will try is diuretics, the aim of water tablets is to eliminate fluid from the body this is a side effect of high blood pressure ( particularly the extremities: hands, feet and ankles). The excess fluid puts pressure in the heart and this in turn increases blood pressure. The primary aim of diuretics is to get rid of the extra fluid so that blood pressure is reduced, as the workload of the heart reduces. Magnetic water has a natural detoxification effect on the body, drinking at least 4 glasses a day will eliminate excess fluid (plus toxins stored in the fluid) from the body. This has the same effect a that of diuretics in that as the fluid is "off loaded" the workload of the heart is decreased and blood pressure is reduced. In addition to drinking magnetised water, blood pressure can also be reduced by wearing a magnetic bracelet or magnetic strap around the wrist. The radial artery is situated in the wrist and is one of the bodies main arteries. When a magnetic field is applied over the radial artery, the magnetism is rapidly absorbed and distributed around the whole body. Blood flow is improved around the whole body and the heart ,the whole circulatory system receives increased oxygen which in turn increases oxygenation of the organs and tissues, as a result of the improved oxygenation the heart does not have to pump so many times a minute to ensure enough oxygen is supplied to the body and this reduces the workload which will automatically reduce blood pressure. Although these 2 magnetic treatments for high blood pressure are extremely effective and will give results very quickly, it is important to remember that high blood pressure medication should not be stopped suddenly. If you use magnets to treat your high blood pressure ensure that your blood pressure is checked regularly by the GP or practice nurse. When your blood pressure has reduced your doctor will reduce your medication accordingly.

Think Healthy When Trying to Adopt!
In my work as an adoption professional, I get emails from people sharing with me that they are trying to cut back and save money during their adoption. While this is good, there are some areas that are just too valuable to skimp on. Your nutrition is one of those areas. Good nutritious food and a healthy diet can keep you going during the ups and downs of adoption. The process of adoption can be stressful and you need to be in top shape to perform and respond well. Often women who have experienced infertility have hormonal problems (I speak from experience here) and if we don't eat properly we can get cranky to say the least. Many birth mothers call in a panic and state that their lives feel out of control. I often ask them if they have eaten and 99% of the time they have not eaten or they have only eaten junk food. Healthy food is good fuel and is a must have when you are stressed. I am not speaking of chocolate- though quality chocolate can help after having a healthy meal. (Smile) Some couples share that they can only "afford" cheap foods like boxed macaroni and cheese and on sale hot dogs. They feel that buying fresh nutritious produce and healthier foods are too expensive. Yet healthy food IS affordable when you cut out or cut down the junk food in your life and then add or replace it with healthy food. Next time you are at the grocery store, just add up what it costs for chips, cookies and sodas. Now compare to nutritious foods like fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats and grains. You will see just how much farther your dollars go when you invest in real and nutritious food. You will also feel better and live longer. What's really unaffordable is a rotten diet. Garbage in, garbage out and you'll reap what you sow. Consider your health as an asset in your adoption that deserves care and attention. In my adoption, I was very healthy and active, but my husband and I were overweight. I had one young prospective birth mother tell me that she wanted to place her unborn baby with a healthy and thin couple only. While not all birth mothers share this view, they do want someone who will be around long enough to parent their child and be a good role model in a healthy environment. You'd never put low-grade fuel in your car, so how can you justify low-grade fuel for your family? Healthy is wealthy. Start now by making these changes, so your child will have a healthy parent and you will have healthy children with a long life to live it together.

Cancer Discovery: Make the Body Strong Instead of the Cancer
As science is looking for ways to fight cancer, more is being revealed about the body's ability to self-regulate. An ideal therapy reinforces the body's self healing mechanisms rather than depletes it. While many traditional cancer therapies weaken the immune system in order to stop tumor growth, there is a high chance that new tumors will appear. It is similar to the old saying about the dump attracting rats. If you only kill the current rats, there is still something about the dump that attracts more rats! Over time our bodies have become the dump. We fill ourselves up with chemical and emotional toxins so our immune systems can't manage anymore. This has lead researchers to look at what makes the body strong or how the body makes cancer strong. The immune system, under normal conditions, prevents illnesses from developing by neutralizing foreign substances that enter the body. The immune system also regulates the cells of the body by directing a cell to die if it is mutated. Helping the body maintain this high state of vigilance is a natural method to restoring health and preventing illness. One approach to natural immune system care is through nutrition such as fucoidan which has been heavily researched in the last decade. It is a polysaccharide from brown seaweed which is a dietary staple of Japanese natives. It has been shown to improve cellular communication so mutated cells are destroyed by the body. It is also seen as an anti-aging nutrient that supports cell regeneration by mobilizing stem cells. Other benefits are seen in healthy joints, circulation, dietary cholesterol, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system, kidneys, and anti-oxidant support. Known for its health preserving properties for centuries or longer, it has been studied since the 1970's and marketed in supplements in Japan since 1997. For those interested in transforming their bodies from a dump to an oasis, adding fucoidan to their nutritional protocol is great approach. Another new development is the availability of gelceuticals. They are gel based nutritional supplements from whole foods, such as fucoidan in brown seaweed, that have exceptional bio-availability in the digestive tract. This is a recent advancement for people who want an alternative to pills and liquids. Pills have the least absorption rates and liquids need to be refrigerated and measured. Once harvested and processed into a gelceutical, the nutrients are retained as close to its natural state as possible, especially fucoidan which is already a gel-like substance. A sensible approach to cancer is to practice prevention or, with a diagnosis, allow the body its best opportunity to maintain a strong and proactive immune system. Harnessing the benefits of fucoidan in gelceutical form is one way to provide nutritional support.

The Key to Who You Are: Personal Relationships
In order to grow and maintain a healthy, well-adjusted place in society, personal relationships, whether they are romantic or simple day-to-day interaction through work, friendship or simple commiseration, are integral. They help form bonds with other people which improve self-esteem and help develop an individuals identity. As stated above, in society, the most important aspect of personal relationship is to establish one's own social identity. Without this, a person is rarely able to make a positive contribution to their social environment and often spirals into aimlessness and depression. This is why development of social bonds is imperative to a healthy mindset. Because sexuality and mate selection are natural impulses in the lives of almost every human being, intimate and romantic relationship are the area where this is particularly true, moreso than friendship and occupational relationships. Humans are sexual beings by nature and the drive to satisfy that drive, no matter the orientation, is paramount. This is why there are so many online personal sites and why so many young people are drawn to social events and places that facilitate dating and mate searches. A young man's first date generates more excitement and anxiety than a twisted ankle in a high school game. The reality that the adult-industry generates more profit than any other industry in the world illustrates the base need for people physical contact and their attraction to it, regardless of the stigmas attached to it by parts of society.

Hair Styles- fabulous fun fashionable
There are all kinds of different hair styles out there. From women's buns to men's crew cuts, hairstyles are varied and distinct. Hairstyle is all about personality and preference because there are just so many options out there. Many people choose to follow the Hollywood trends while others seem to be set in their ways with their current hair style. Here are some of the most popular hairstyles of today:  Long vs. Short hairstyle Curly Braided hair Ponytail Crew cut Bun Layered  Of course, most hairstyles are geared toward either men or women, so choosing is often within your own gender. Each gender has a multitude of choices when it comes to hairstyles, although women tend to have more of a selection with the wedding and prom hairstyles. There are also factors that come along with hairstyle choices that go beyond simple gender differential as well such as social status, fashion sense and culture.  Hairstyles are often developed and designed through hairstylists in shops, malls and outlet stores that specialize in the different colors and fashions. A style could cost anywhere between $9 (for a basic, run of the mill hair cut) and $100+ (for the more sophisticated / complicated styles). Some timeless hairstyles that have been used throughout the generations are:  Afros: The hairstyle that is most popular among African-Americans has tended to be some sort of an afro that is worn for black pride and such. Bun: This women's hairstyle is pretty popular because it is so easy to assemble and put together, while still looking elegant and professional. The hairstyle consists of hair just as it sounds- in a bun! Buzz cut: This hairstyle is usually reserved for men, although many women today have this type of military haircut. It consists of short hair all over the head, normally no more then ½ inch long. Ponytail: This women's style is pretty much the easiest hairstyle out there and has been used as long as people remember. All that you need to do is pull your hair to the back and secure it with a rubber band! Hairstyles portray so much about each human being just as DNA does within the scientific measures of the body. You can learn a lot about a person just by what hairstyle they choose to express themselves with and how they approach the type of hair they wear. With a multitude of options, hairstyles can be this, that or anything in between! ">http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
